Learning about the 3P’s is like learning from any life lesson, often includes resistance. This part is okay. We address the constraints of traditional treatments through integrating the body, mind and spirit. We are uniquely focused on dissolving diagnostic categories. Our residents are not divided by their diagnosis, and they participate in classes and workshops with our greater community, helping to break down the silence and stigma that can be so isolating.
We offer custom designed wellness and recovery programs for individuals following a psychosocial and interpersonal assessment. Through our deep understanding and work with traumatic memory we address unresolved trauma, PTS, drug and alcohol addiction and co-occurring disorders.
Trauma may result from a wide variety of stressors such as accidents, invasive medical procedures, sexual or physical assault, emotional abuse, neglect, war, natural disasters, loss, birth trauma, or the corrosive stressors of ongoing fear and conflict.

Amy B. Otzel is a Retired U.S. Army Behavioral Health Sergeant, Iraq War combat theater Veteran, former Readjustment Counseling Therapist with the U.S. Department of Veterans’ Affairs Medical Center and CT State Military Support Program Clinician, and Licensed Psychotherapist. While informed by graduate degree achievements in psychology, professional counseling, and integrative health & healing, Amy’s personal journey to inspire her own health, wellness, and the healing from trauma has enhanced her endeavor to contribute forward in healing service to others. Brooke West provides trauma-informed Yoga and meditation programming online and in person for prevention and recovery from traumatic stress, mental distress, and spiritual emergency. Offers: one-on-one Yoga therapy; peer support group facilitation,; Restorative Yoga and meditation workshops, retreats and trainings; research; resources; peer advocacy and outreach. Brooke West is a psychiatric survivor with lived experience navigating recovery, the California Behavioral Health system, Social Security, hospitalization, forced medication and treatment. She is an active member of Twelve Step Recovery groups. She presents at national and international conferences and is a leader in alternative local mental health peer support networks in San Luis Obispo County, California and internationally.
Alex Saunders, LCPC, LAC is a licensed psychotherapist blending Western evidence-based interventions with Eastern philosophy. Alex believes that suffering stems from disconnection from the true Self.
