ABOUT SAFE HARBOR

Safe Harbor's mission is to educate the public, the medical profession, and government agencies on alternatives to pharmaceutical treatments for mental health. We seek to improve current mental health practice by creating less reliance on medication to suppress symptoms and more efforts to determine actual causes for mental conditions (which are often medical, metabolic, or nutritional in nature) and correct treatment of those causes. Additionally, we seek to bring together those working to bring about such changes into one forum, in order to better organize and disseminate vital data regarding alternative mental health.

Founded in 1998, Safe Harbor provides a foundation for integrative psychiatrists and practitioners as it helps support and inform the public about solution-oriented alternative mental health research that is grounded in science.
